A nomination for the Global Elite Awards starts a defined sequence, the same one for every company in every region. Nothing is required from the nominee beyond accurate information, and nothing is offered until a decision has been made. Here is what happens, step by step.
1. The nomination is received
Companies reach the awards in two ways: our research team identifies them, or a nomination is submitted directly through the nomination form. Either way, nomination is free. Our nomination manager confirms receipt once the nomination has been processed, and the review begins.
2. Eligibility is checked
Every nominee must meet four conditions: at least two years of operation, a verifiable business with an active website and a real presence in its market, a clear place in one of the 15 industries the awards recognise, and evidence of standing such as projects, client reviews or press. Nominees that do not meet them are not assessed further.
3. The company is assessed
We build a profile from the company’s website, projects, independent client reviews, press coverage and the information provided in the nomination. This evidence is what the later stages rely on, so complete and accurate information matters. Companies that provide false or misleading information are removed from consideration.
4. Evaluation and shortlisting
Each eligible nominee is scored on six equally weighted criteria and benchmarked within its category. The highest-scoring companies are shortlisted. Many strong companies are reviewed at this stage without reaching the shortlist, which is what keeps a title meaningful.
5. The panel decides
The confidential panel reviews the shortlist and decides the title. Panel members are senior specialists, including people with past experience at institutions such as the Michelin Guide and international hospitality and property awards, and they are not named publicly so that no nominee can approach them.
6. The winner is informed
Winners are told privately first, with their title and edition. Only after the decision is final does the winner support team introduce the optional recognition packages, which license the official marks and help a company announce its title. Packages never affect a decision, and no decision is reopened afterwards.
7. Certification and the register
Each title is certified. Winners licensed to display the marks are listed on the public register with their own verification ID, so clients and partners can confirm the title at any time.
What nominees can do to help
The most useful thing a nominee can do is give a complete, honest picture: a current website, specific projects or products, and the client feedback and press that show the standard is sustained. The answers to the most common questions are on The Award page.
