The short answer: being nominated, reviewed and awarded a title is free. What a winner may choose afterwards, such as a licence to display the official marks, announcement support or a personalised trophy, is optional, and it is offered only once a decision is final. Here is exactly where the line sits, and why.
What is free
Nomination costs nothing, whether a company is identified by our research team or nominated directly. The full review is free: eligibility screening, assessment, evaluation against six criteria, shortlisting and the panel’s decision. Being informed of the result is free. A company that wins may refer to its recognition in its own words, without any purchase.
What is optional
After a decision is final, winners are offered recognition packages. They cover the things that turn a title into something a company can use publicly: a licence to display the official badge and certificate, announcement support across our channels, and, depending on the package, a personalised trophy and further promotion. A monthly Winner Licence is also available for companies that prefer it to a one-off package.
Why packages exist at all
The Global Elite Awards marks are protected, and the value of a badge depends on it being used only by companies that genuinely hold a title. Licensing the marks is how that protection works in practice. Producing certificates, trophies and announcement material also has a real cost. Offering these as optional services, rather than charging companies to enter, keeps the review open to every company that meets the standard.
The order that protects the result
Every title is decided and recorded before any package is discussed. A decision is never reopened afterwards, no purchase can create, upgrade or protect a title, and declining every package has no effect on a title that has been awarded. The rules are set out in the Governance section of The Award page.
What this means for a nominee
There is no entry fee and no obligation. A nomination can be submitted, reviewed and decided without any payment at any stage. Only a company that has already won will ever be offered a package, and it remains free to decide whether one is useful.
What this means for a client checking a title
A licensed title carries a verification ID that resolves on our public register, showing the company, title, edition and status. That record is what confirms a badge is authorised.
To be considered, submit a nomination. It is free and takes a few minutes.
